Click somewhere near the coastline and create pictures in high resolution and coloring of your choice. Julia Zoom is centered by default. The algorithm subdivides the image into flat and structured sections, which significantly speeds up calculations.

Wikipedia provides detailed information regarding the Julia Set. Julia Zoom is centered by default. When you zoom in, typically there is some additional detail at the very center of the Julia set.
The Mandelbrot Set maps out the character of all Julia Sets. Clicking on a specific region of the Mandelbrot Set in the Explorer will create the corresponding Julia set.
The default settings in the Explorer are low (< 5000) iterations at a preview size of 600x600 px, which should result in reasonably fast response. Should rendering be slow, consider lowering the iterations.
To Render select significantly higher (> 50000) iterations. Click one of the Render buttons and go for a beer...
